Woman, 50, hurt in collision in Wakefield

A woman, aged 50, was taken to hospital after a road accident in Horbury Bridge, Wakefield.

A black Volkswagen Golf was involved in a collision with the woman, a pedestrian, yesterday.

Police were called to Bridge Road at around 3.20pm in the afternoon.

A spokeswoman said the woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
