Woman, 29, badly hurt in Leeds car crash

A 29-year-old female pedestrian was badly injured today after being hit by a car in Beeston.

The woman was knocked down at 8.35am after being hit by a silver Nissan Almera travelling along Beeston Road in the direction of Old Lane.

She was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where she is being treated for a serious head injury.

PC Chris Worsnop, of West Yorkshire Police’s Eastern Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team, said: “ We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Beeston Road area this morning who has seen this collision.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team on 101.”
