Mug Shot is celebrating its partnership with the Tour de Yorkshire by handing out free product giveaways along the route and giving fans the chance to win a holiday.

The brand is sponsoring the race for the third consecutive year and will be distributing freebies across all four days of the event, which will be held in the county Thursday, May 3, to Sunday, May 6.

“As one of Yorkshire’s biggest and most successful food brands, Mug Shot is proud to be associated with the Tour de Yorkshire for the third successive year,” said Mike Benton, head of snacking product business unit at Symington’s, who own the brand.

“There are lots of ways for people to get involved with Mug Shot during the event, from taking a cycling Mug Shot with one of our selfie frames to share on social media, to joining in with the ‘Spin to Win’ activity with Heart radio, for your chance to win a family holiday.”

Fans can enjoy product giveaways at the start and finish lines, and from the fully branded Mug Shot publicity caravan. Spectators can get their hands on free tomato and herb, chicken and sweetcorn, and creamy cheese Mug Shot samples.

There will also be a hot sampling van and an interactive experience activity for fans waiting to greet the riders, as well as the ‘Spin to Win’ family holiday competition.

Mug Shot is also sponsoring the youngest female rider for the third year running, who this year will be just 17 years old at the time of the race.

Mr Benton said: “As well as being an official supplier, we also support the youngest female rider, Georgia Bullard, who is a brilliant rider and it’s great to see young British talent flourishing in the sport.”
