When does the latest X-Files season start? What do we know about the new series of the X-Files so far?

The thrill, mystery and ambiguity of this cult classic has captured the hearts of both skeptics and believers since 1993.

Fox president David Madden is ready for fans to see the new series.

The show returned in 2016 and had left the X-Files cult wanting to believe there’s another series on the cards.

In April this year, the announcement came that our screens would be spooked yet again with an eleventh series. This time with 10 episodes.

The question on our minds: when is the X-Files back on TV?

The answer: the surreal show will return January 3, 2018.

Despite the show being about the unknown, cast members Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny have not held back with the sneaky suggestions about what might be in store.

Whatever the truth really is, there is no doubt that the new series will be gripping and suitably spine-chilling.
