West Yorkshire Police are hitting the road to spread the word about the latest recruitment campaign.
Officers will be taking their eye-catching vans to events across the area from Monday.
The vans are equipped with Virtual Reality headsets to give the public a taste of life in the force, with clips from the mounted section, dogs, driving skid pan and a response car.
The next recruitment window for police officers opens on September 11 for two weeks until September 23.
Assistant Chief Constable Angela Williams, said: “I would encourage anyone who has thought about becoming a police officer to go and meet some of our finest officers on our roadshows.
“Being a police officer is really a job like no other and I am excited to see the new talent that comes to join us here at West Yorkshire Police.”
Figures seen by the YEP show the number of officers and PCSOs employed in neighbourhood policing county-wide fell from 2,613 in 2011 to 2,191 in 2016.
