West Yorkshire: Attack head injuries man airlifted to hospital

Police raced to a West Yorkshire industrial estate today after a man was suffered serious head injuries in an attack.

An air ambulance was scrambled to the Fern Ley Green Road, Knottingley, shortly after the man was reported badly injured atv 1.30pm.

The helicopter flew the injured man, whose age was not immediately known, to Leeds General Infirmary for emergency treatment.

Officers from the Wakefield Divisional Police launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding how the man suffered his injuries.
