West Leeds: Thieves steal safe full of jewellery during house raid

THIEVES stole a safe containing a diamond necklace and watches after targeting a home in west Leeds.

Thieves broke into the house off Calverley Lane, Rodley, and took a television, laptop computers and games consoles along with a safe containing expensive items of jewellery.

The collection of distinctive jewellery included a Riviere 18-carat gold diamond necklace, a ladies Omega Constellation watch with a mother of pearl dial, a Breitling Navitimer 18-carat rose gold watch and a Panerai Luminor Submersible mens watch with a blue dial.

Detective Gemma Coulton, of the Leeds District Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “These items of jewellery are particularly distinctive and I would like to hear from anyone who has been offered any similar items for sale.”

The burglary is believed to have been carried out between 6.15pm and 8.40pm on Sunday, November 23.
