Teacher Josie Barraclough is to exhibit with established artists, Mel Davies, Fiona Mazza, Kim Cole and Chris and Eric Moss at Sunny Bank Mills Gallery in Farsley.

The exhibition runs from this Saturday until October 10.

It is called Kaleidoscope and will showcase artwork, sculptures and ceramics.

Josie said: “The freedom to paint is freedom of expression. I regularly work without any preconceived concept; simply drawing on a scrap of colour or shape. My inspiration comes from the natural world. I recognise that nothing can surpass the beauty and colour of nature; whether in full bloom or decay. My work simply tries to be a part of this.”

Josie is Head of Art at Bradford Grammar School and began her career as a designer, illustrator and painter.

Admission to Sunny Bank Mills Gallery is free and it is open six days a week (Tuesday-Sunday). The School is also to exhibit 150 pieces of students’ artwork at Sunny Bank Mills Gallery in November 2014.
