Pupils and staff from two schools joined Fulneck physicists to learn about the science of earthquakes.

The Physics department at Pudsey’s Fulneck School shared its knowledge with students from The Grammar School at Leeds and Batley Girls’ High School, as well as their teachers and Fulneck students . The invitation was extended to schools involved in the Ogden Trust Partnership, a charitable trust set up to promote the teaching and learning of Physics. The Fulneck Seismology project is supported by Erasmus+, and the Physics department works with three other schools in Europe.

As part of the project Fulneck physicists are involved in outreach activities benefitting other schools.

The teams’ posters were judged by Professor Neuberg, Mr Denton and Principal Mrs Newman and Batley Girls’ wereHigh School was declared the winners.
