As the temperature continues to cool, some snow is then set to hit Yorkshire on Saturday.

According to the Met Office, Yorkshire will see “Another frosty start on Saturday, then windy with heavy rain and hill snow spreading east. Milder Sunday, with sunshine and showers.”

For the UK in general, “Wet and windy weather moves east Saturday, with snow in some parts of the north and east.”

Although snow is not currently set to hit Leeds, with temperatures continuing to dip over the weekend, there is the chance that Leeds could see some sleet, but snow is currently set to hit higher ground, with hill snow primarily forecast for Yorkshire.

Looking ahead to the festive period, forecasters said the weather had the potential to be unsettled.
