This is what the River Aire in Leeds city centre looks like after Storm Ciara

Heavy rainfall and winds of up to 80 miles per hour hit Leeds yesterday as Storm Ciara battered the city.

Seventy flood warnings were put in place across West Yorkshire, including Gledhow Beck, Collingham Beck and various points near the River Aire, including Kirkstall.

The full list of flood warnings currently in place can be found here.The River Aire remains choppy today but levels have reduced.

Leeds City Council Resilience & Emergencies Team said at 8.40am that the flood warnings and alerts were beginning to reduce.

However, The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice to the city, which may cause further disruption.
