"Some riverbanks are ready to burst and people are putting their own lives at risk to take pictures and videos."
Flights have been cancelled, rivers have burst and drivers have been left stranded due to the storm.
The Met Office said Storm Ciara will bring a spell of very strong winds on Sunday.
