Engineers are working to fix the issue and power is expected to be restored by 8.30am.

It comes as heavy snow starts to blanket Leeds, with the Met Office warning that further powercuts are possible across the city.

It has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice as it urges drivers to travel with care.

Other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may also be affected.
