Long delays as M62 closed in West Yorkshire
DRIVERS faced long delays today after police closed the M62 in West Yorkshire because of concerns for the safety of a woman on a bridge.
The motorway was closed in both directions near junction 22 at Rishworth Moor in the Pennines, with congestion all the way back to Bradford in the east and Rochdale in the west.
Police later reopned the road after the woman was brought down safely, just after 1pm.
The motorway has now been re-opened.
