Leeds weather: Hour-by-hour Met Office forecast as River Aire at risk of flooding

People are being urged to prepare as an amber weather warning for rain was issued by the Met Office for Tuesday to Thursday in Yorkshire.

Tuesday is set to be a washout in Leeds as Storm Christoph hits the UK, bringing heavy showers and strong winds later in the day.

A flood alert is in place for the Middle River Aire catchment, which runs through Leeds, as well as three becks across the city.

The Government's flood warning service said it expects to see high river levels from midday on Tuesday.

Further rain could lead the River Aire to burst its banks, causing flooding to properties, roads and low-lying land.
