Full Leeds weather forecast as city set for another 28C heatwave

Forecasters are expecting temperatures to start rising from Wednesday, August 5 after a mild start to the week.

This follows the 30C heatwave last week which saw people across the city soaking up 30 degree rays.

"From Thursday temperatures will be in the low- to mid-20s Celsius for Northern Ireland, Scotland and north Wales, but it will be much warmer across southern and central areas, with temperatures widely reaching around 30 Celsius, possibly 32 Celsius in the southeast of England."

The weeks forecast in Leeds:

Tuesday will be a cloudy day which temperatures reaching 19 degrees.

There will be outbreaks of rain in the morning but brighter spells throughout the afternoon.

There will be heavy rain on Wednesday which will easy throughout the day.

The heavy winds will ease as the days goes on but it will remain cloudy.

The sun will begin to creep through on Thursday, where temperatures will to 25 degrees.

There will be sunny intervals all morning before it turns cloudy around 1pm.

It will be a very warm day, according to the Met Office.

Friday is the day that will see the hottest temperatures of the week.

The Met Office expect it to reach 28 degrees on Friday and be "very hot".

It will be sunny all day. There will be a high UV and pollen count.

The sun will set at 8.50pm.

Saturday will be slightly milder with temperatures reaching 26 degrees.

It will be sunny all day and the Met Office has put a high UV warning in place.

The sun will again set at 8.50pm.

Sunday will see sunny intervals that ease by 7pm.

The maximum temperature will be 22 degrees.
