Extreme weather warning issued for Leeds on Thursday as 50mph winds batter city

A fresh weather warning has been issued for Leeds on Thursday as strong gusts hit the city.

Forecasters at the Met Office expect the extreme wind to cause travel disruption until at least 8pm tonight, with winds reaching up to 50mph.

It follows a yellow weather warning for ice and snow overnight on Wednesday as temperatures plummeted to 0C.
