'Blustery, wintry showers' - full weather forecast for Leeds ahead of Storm Dennis

The worst of Storm Ciara has passed, but it will be windy through Wednesday morning with further blustery, wintry showers.

"These will ease through the afternoon with more sunshine developing and decreasing winds. It will remain cold and a thaw of lying snow over the Pennines will be slow," a Met office spokesman said.

The maximum temperature will be 3C.

Tonight will be cold, with rain and hill snow arriving around midnight. The minimum temperature will be -2C.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Leeds on Saturday with the arrival of Storm Dennis.

Heavy rain will batter the city from midday through to about 9pm, the Met Office said.

Storm Dennis will bring very strong winds and potential for disruption to many parts of England and Wales on Saturday.
