12 car pile-up closes M1 in Yorkshire
DRIVERS faced long delays this morning after a 12-car pile-up closed three lanes of the M1 in South Yorkshire.
The accident, involving two vans and ten cars, happened during the morning rush hour on the southbound carriageway between junction 38 at Woolley and junction 37 at Dodworth.
Congestion is reported as far back as Durkar.
Police later re-opened all three lanes but said travel time through the affected stretch was at least half an hour.
