The YEP has launched its hunt for the Salon of the Year and now we need you to help us find the top hairdressing and/or beauty salon in the area. We’ll accept nominations for any independent or franchise salon or barbers offering hair and/or beauty treatments.

All nomination coupons must be received by (or before) first post on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

You must use an official nomination coupon (from the paper). Photocopied or defaced coupons will not be accepted.


Text your nomination before 9am on Tuesday, October 14 to 65550.

Simply start your text with the words: YEPSALON followed by another space, then the name and address of your favourite salon. Follow this with your name, your address (including postcode) and your email address (if you have one). Text messages cost 50p plus your standard network charge and should contain no more than 160 characters.

Please note: you will receive a reply-message to confirm receipt of your nomination.

Your text message must follow the exact format stated, otherwise your nomination may not be counted but you may still be charged. If you text after the stated closing date your nomination will not be counted but you may still be charged.


Email the name and address of your favourite salon to before noon on Tuesday, October 14. Please include your own name, address, and phone number.

You must write “Yorkshire Evening Post Salon Nomination 2014” in your email’s subject line.
