Village congregation to mark two decades
Drighlington Methodist Church will celebrate 20 years since it moved to its current location in King Street.
On Saturday March 12 and Sunday March 13 the church will host a viewing of photos, memorabilia, displays, activities for children and afternoon tea, as well as talks and services.

Hide AdTrevor Martin, from the church, said: “In 1995 we removed the old church building and replaced it with a modern, multi-use building with top range sound, IT equipment etc.
“This is used by business meetings, presentations as well as the traditional weddings and funerals to equal measure.
“In our celebrations we hope to involve many people as possible from the community, not just our own members.
“If you find time to call during that weekend you will have a very warm welcome and it will mean so much to our congregation and the people of Drighlington.”

Hide AdThe church currently has around 50 members, with 40-60 who regularly attend Sunday services.
It hosts a variety of activities and services, including a food bank, games afternoon for elderly people, discussion groups and a drop-in session at the Coffee Pot.
