Video: Sutton United fan knocked out cold by a super-hard shot from one of his own team's players

This is the dramatic moment an unsuspecting pensioner was KNOCKED OUT cold by a midfielder's thundering strike.

During a pre-season friendly between Sutton United and Ebbsfleet United last month, fans and paramedics rushed to help when the pensioner was struck full-on in the face by the belting shot. Midfielder for the non-league Surrey side Nicky Bailey fired just wide and into the face of a fan behind the goal. In the clip, filmed by SUFC TV, the club’s online video channel, players can be seen beckoning to the medical staff. The fan, who was standing by the perimeter fence near to the Ebbsfleet goal, was treated by paramedics but fortunately suffered no lasting injuries. James King, who works for SUFC TV, said: “He was obviously a little shaken - I can’t imagine what it’s like to get a ball straight in the side of the head.
