Video - Shocking pictures of so much rubbish on a Cornish beach it looks like a Jackson Pollock

The tide of tiny plastic is having a huge impact on marine life and volunteers are being sought to clear up the mess.

The issue has been exposed in footage taken at Tregantle beach, on Whitsand Bay, and posted on the Facebook page of Tregantle Beach, Trinkets, Treasures and Trash. It shows a swathe of plastic littering the sands including thousands of tiny “nurdles” – the raw materials to make virtually all plastic items – which attract high concentrations of toxins from surrounding seawater.
