A singing plumber has released a fundraising song about the Tour de Yorkshire, with just days to go until the big bike race rolls into Leeds.

Father-of-two Paul Ballington’s track ‘Get On Yer Bike’ aims to raise vital funds for the Tour’s official charity partner the Children’s Hospital Charity.

Paul, 37, has recorded a music video with Leeds firm True North and the song has been released on iTunes – half the proceeds go to charity.

He said: “The Tour de Yorkshire is going to be another amazing event for Yorkshire, and the song I have written is all very Yorkshire in tone. It is a bit comical, it is a bit of fun.”

The Tour de Yorkshire will see top cyclists including Sir Bradley Wiggins ride through the county from May 1 to 3. It will come to its climax in Roundhay Park on Sunday.
