A pug puppy has become an internet sensation just two months after joining Instagram.
Chief, just six months old, has racked up almost 10,000 followers on his page after his owners decided to make him a viral hit. Megan Simpson, 19, and her boyfriend Ross Simpson, 26, were inspired to set up an account for their pug after seeing another dog, Doug the Pug, in the US, attract a massive two million followers. But the couple, who live in Whitstable, Kent, had no idea how successful Chief would become. She said: “We thought we could do the same and get him a few followers. “We had heard about Doug the Pug and thought ‘what’s he got that Chief hasn’t?’ – then it just went mad.
