Video: Miracle boy born after desperate parents placed appeal for an egg donor in the small ads has celebrated his 16th birthday
Bradley Henderson was born on February 10, 2000, weighing a healthy 7lb 4oz bringing an end to his parents' 20 years of trying for a child.
His mum Sandra Ingram, then aged 39, was told she may never conceive naturally because of her damaged ovaries. She and long-term partner Phil, a security guard, paid £30 for a small advert in their local paper the Coventry Telegraph in 1998, appealing for help. The ad read: “Childless couple urgently need egg donor to fulfil their dreams. Donor must be under 35 and have had one child. Discretion assured.”
