Video: Leeds youngsters take centre stage with Jesus Christ Superstar cast

YOUNG singing stars from a Leeds performing arts school had the chance to step on stage with their idols.

Youngsters from The Stuart Stage School in Heckmondwike are currently performing in Jesus Christ Superstar at Leeds Grand Theatre, alongside stars such as Racel Adedeji, Glenn Carter and Tim Rogers.

Around 24 pupils are taking centre stage for the performances, which run until Saturday, July 11.

Principal of The Stuart Stage School, Jill Stuart, said: “I went to see them last night and the theatre was full.

“They are performing in front of hundreds of people and they’ve been very excited about it.”
