Video: Leeds University students take on 24-hour pole dancing marathon

Talented students from Leeds University Union's Vertical Fitness club finally clocked off from an epic '˜Pole-a-thon' at 7am this morning '“ 24 hours after the pole dance marathon began.

The group, which aims to fight the stigma and prejudice surrounding pole dancing and highlight the power, skill and talent needed for the workout, completed the challenge – where a Vertical Fitness members had to be dancing at all times – to raise money for Leeds-based charity Basis Yorkshire.

The charity offers information, safety and support to female and transgender women in the sex industry, who live or work in the city. They also provide support to girls and young women who are at risk of child sexual exploitation.
