Leeds’ Crafthouse restaurant has created what it has dubbed Yorkshire’s most luxurious pie in celebration of National Pie Week.
Executive chef Lee Murdoch from the restaurant, based in Trinity Leeds, created the ‘Rossini Torta’, which is available at the eaterie until tomorrow.
Inspired by the Italian composer, the pie is filled with delectable ingredients including braised beef cheek, roasted duck liver, winter truffle, smoked shallots, spinach, all embodied in a rich bordelaises jus. Lee said: “This year our Rossini Torta at Crafthouse is set to not only be the most delicious in Leeds, but will transform the common pie into pure pastry perfection.”
The pie is designed for two and priced at £40.
