Video - Hospital mistakenly diagnoses man with cancer 10 years after he recovered from the disease

David Wragg, 67, was shocked to find in the middle of a medical report from his annual checkup a note that he had received treatment for cancer of the tonsil and had a pulmonary embolism.

What made it worse for Mr Wragg was that he had was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 12 years ago.

He said: “When you’re told you’ve got cancer, it’s not a good feeling so to be told I’ve got it again was horrible.

“I knew I hadn’t been tested for this and I’ve never had a pulmonary embolism so it’s obviously somebody else’s diagnosis, somebody’s messed up.”
