Video: The first osprey chick to have been born in the UK this year has hatched at a Scottish nature reserve

Delighted staff welcomed the chick into the world early on Saturday morning.

And it is also the first osprey chick to be born at the RSPB Loch Garten nature reserve near Aundorach, Highlands, in two years. The egg was laid on April 7 by female osprey EJ and after noticing changes in her behaviour last week, staff welcomed the successful hatching of the chick around 7am on Saturday.
