Video - Father Christmas slams Scrooge security guards after banned from a city shopping centre
Jolly Dave Upson, 69, was trying to spread some festive cheer at the Bullring in Birmingham dressed in his tailor-made £1,800 Santa suit.
But he was shocked when he was confronted by two burly guards who told him he wasn’t coming in. ‘Santa Dave’ - who has been a Father Christmas for 16 years and has a real 15-cm beard - had been visiting city hotspots throughout the day where he posed for photographs with families. But when he tried to enter the Bullring at around 1pm on Wednesday (9/12) he was firmly told to walk away.
