Video: Fans flock to SmashCon in Leeds

IT's at the centre of the hugely popular TV series Game of Thrones '“ and the Iron Throne was a huge hit at a convention in Leeds.

The attraction was at SmashCon, which took place at New Dock Hall near the Royal Armouries on Sunday. (May 22)

Fans flocked to the event, the first of its kind in Leeds, which celebrated sci-fi and fantasy TV and film, comic books, Cosplay and BWE (British Wrestling Entertainment).

Among the stars in attendance was actor Miltos Yerolemou, better known as the Game of Thrones’ sword teacher Syrio Forel, who taught a special swordsmanship masterclass.

Former S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt was there thanks to her role in Primeval, as was comedian and Red Dwarf star, Norman Lovett, who played Holly in the space-set sitcom.

Other celebrity guests included Brian Wheeler from Return of the Jedi and Harry Potter actor Martin Ballantyne.
