Sooty, aged one, made a mad dash for freedom through a nook behind the toilet - leaving his owners baffled as to where he had gone.
After an extensive search of the family home in Richmond, south west London, Justine Panay decided to call engineers from plumbing company Dyno to help find the pet, which belongs to her son Tom. Engineer Jordan Baker helped look behind the toilet, microwave and dishwasher and was about to give up hope, before he suggested one further check in the kitchen wall using specialist CCTV equipment. Eventually, the cheeky chinchilla was found holed up behind the kitchen cabinets and, after an hour and a half of coaxing, was brought back to safety.
