Great-grandmother Irene McBride received a rapturous reception from 30,000 fellow fans at White Hart Lane before her team smashed Bournemouth 3-0 last week.

Having first watched from the stands in 1927, Irene has seen her club through hard-times and good. Her great-grandson, Julian Stringle, 54, accompanied his great-grandmother to the match and said they had a “fantastic day”.He said: “It was just a great day. We sat in the front row of the East-Upper Stand and at half time they invited us onto the pitch and presented my nan with a shirt. “It was fantastic.
