Urgent appeal as police try to find missing Leeds pensioner

Police say they are 'very concerned' for the safety of a pensioner who has gone missing in Leeds.

Lorna Dickinson, 81, was last seen leaving her home in Morley shortly after 9am today.

It is thought she may have been planning to travel into Leeds city centre.

Leeds District CID’s Det Insp Amanda Wimbles said: “Lorna may be confused and we are very concerned for her welfare and urgently need to trace her.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has seen her or who has any information that could assist in locating her.”

Lorna is described as white, slim and 5ft 4in tall, with short blonde hair.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a three-quarter-length camel coat, boots and a paisley scarf and was carrying a black handbag.

Anyone with information is asked to ring West Yorkshire Police’s Elland Road control centre on 101, quoting log reference 463 of March 23.
