POLICE investigating a robbery at a petrol station in the Ossett area of Wakefield which was captured on CCTV in the early hours on Monday have arrested a 29-year-old man.

The suspect was today being quizzed by detectives investigating the alleged robbery at the Shell 24-hour petrol station on Dewsbury Road, Ossett, just after midnight.

Officers issued CCTV footgage as part of an appeal for information following the alleged incident

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The 29-year-old remains in custody today.”
