A second man arrested on suspicion of starting a blaze at a Knottingley pub in front of terrified customers has been released on bail.
The 28-year-old man, from Pontefract, was arrested on suspicion of arson at the Bay Horse pub, Hill Top, at around 8.45pm on Tuesday.
The pub’s landlady, her daughter and customers all had to run from the pub after two men wearing masks from the horror film Scream walked in, doused it with flammable liquid and set it on fire.
Fire crews from Pontefract, Castleford, Normanton and Featherstone all attended the scene and the pub was left gutted by the blaze.
A police spokesman said another 28-year-old man, from Knottingley, who was arrested on Thursday, has also been released on bail.
