Police have found a man who had been missing from a care home in Leeds since Tuesday.

Shaun McDermott, 45, was last seen at the home in Kirkstall at about 8pm that day.

Yesterday officers made an appeal for the public's help in finding him amid concerns for his welfare.

Issuing an update today, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Shaun McDermott from Leeds who was the subject of an earlier missing person enquiry has been found safe and well.

"The public and media are thanked for their support in sharing the appeal to help find him."
