Two pedestrians seriously injured in Armley and Moortown UPDATED

TWO WOMEN pedestrians have been seriously injured after being involved in collision with vehicles in separate incidents in Leeds today.

Police were called to Shadwell Lane at its junction with Harrogate Road in Moortown just after 9.30am (Thurs July 14) after a 72-year-old woman was involved in collision with a blue Range Rover.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Shadwell Lane remains closed to traffic this afternoon while police investigations are carried out at the scene.

An a woman was seriously injured after she was involved in collision with a vehicle on Stanningley Road in Armley this morning.

Police were called to the incident on Stanningley Road at its junction with Branch Road at 10am

Stanningley Road was closed to traffic and was reopened at 1pm today.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries following the incident.
