Two Leeds men charged after bomb hoax at pizza takeaway

Two men from Leeds have been charged in connection with a bomb hoax at a fast food takeaway.

A 23-year-old man from the Chapeltown area of Leeds has now been charged with three offences of communicating a bomb hoax.

A 22-year-old man, who is also from the Chapeltown area, has been charged with perverting the course of justice and making a false statement to obtain insurance.

Both of the men who have been charged with the offences are due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 3.

The charges relate to an incident involving a pizza takeaway in Knaresborough on October 16, 2013.
