Two arrested after thefts from cars in village near Harrogate

Detectives investigating a string of thefts from vehicles in a village near Harrogate are appealing for the public's help.

A group of offenders are believed to have stolen bags, tools, cash and electronic equipment from several cars around the village of Huby.

When officers attended, members of the group escaped in two vehicles which were found abandoned at Arthington Lane, Otley.

The incident took place at around 1.45am on Wednesday.

Two men in their late teens and early 20s have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed while investigations continue.

Now police are appealing for information and urging anyone who recognises the recovered items in the images to come forward.

They are a dark-coloured Muddy Fox Neptune mountain bike, and a black KS Bluetooth speaker.
