A straw bale maze will be in position at the visitor attraction until Sunday, June 5.

It is part of a half term week of fairytale fun activities that will also include storytelling, crafts and dressing up. A picnic featuring traditional games and music will take place from 11am to 3pm on Thursday.

Coun Brian Selby, Leeds City Council’s lead member for museums and galleries, said: “Summer is a time when Lotherton really comes to life and it’s always great to see families enjoying the beautiful estate, particularly when the team there have such an exciting and innovative programme of events and activities planned.”

The maze comprises more than 140 straw bales and 15 tonnes of wood chip.
