TV legend hosts bid to stage the world’s biggest maths lesson at stadium

Have your say

TV legend Johnny Ball is to host what is hoped to be the world’s ‘largest live audience maths lesson’ in Leeds.

The well-known maths enthusiast will take to the stage at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium in March for the giant maths lesson - which organisers hope to be a world record-breaker.

The event is for school children across Yorkshire and takes place on during National Science Week, on March 19.

Johnny will be delivering his unique style of inspirational, real life maths to nine to 13-year-olds in the free show.

Organisers say the maths lesson will be a fantastic opportunity for all young people across Yorkshire, regardless of ability. They said the school children will have a unique and memorable learning experience, delivered by the maths legend, as well as taking part in an official Guinness World Record attempt. Schools can bring as many pupils as they want and teachers will be provided with educational packs.

There will also be special appearances from Leeds United players. Contact to sign up.
