Tripping the light fantastic in Leeds

Thousands of people are expected to bask in the glow of Leeds’s very own Light Night tonight. (Oct 9)

This year’s line-up includes more than 60 performances, displays, films and interactive installations spread across the city.

A lantern parade will illuminate the city as part of this year’s Leeds Light Night.

Pyramid of Arts will lead the parade, which will feature a giant owl, through the city centre tonight.

Now in its 11th year, Light Night Leeds aims to encourage people to come together in the city centre and celebrate the talent of the Leeds arts community. Trinity Leeds’s roof will be transformed into a weather skyscape.

Last year’s event attracted around 50,000

The Beast from the East is set to bring three days of snow to Yorkshire.
