Trinity Leeds is kicking off the Christmas countdown in style with a two-day spectacle of surprises including the chance to create the ultimate sweet treat.

The Wonder Weekend, on November 4 and 5, will be a festive extravaganza full of treats and entertainment, culminating in the magical switch
on of Europe’s biggest Wishmas Tree.

The stunning light switch-on includes a balloon drop and a show-stopping performance by contortionists and aerial acrobats from Cirque Bijou.

Trinity Leeds is also offering the chance for shoppers to create their very own edible selfie.

Lucky golden ticket holders will win the chance to get their head made entirely out of chocolate.

Shoppers and bargain hunters can also make the most of Wonder Weekend and pre-register for a free ‘Trinity Treat Card,’ to redeem entry to a VIP pamper parlour, sherbert shack, slumber cinema, edible bubble experience, champagne pong, toffee apple workshop and a ball pool bar.

There are also 5,000 Trinity tote bags full of goodies to give away.

There will also be stilt-walking, super-sized trees, soulful choirs, living doll performers, a singing nun known as Musical Ruth and of course candy canes, mince pies, roasted chestnuts and mulled apple juice.

Dan Wharton, marketing manager, said: “It’s hard to put into words just how incredible Christmas is going to be at Trinity Leeds this year.

“The list of surprises, entertainment and giveaways is endless and we can’t wait to get the people of Leeds swept up in the excitement of the festive season. Some of the best treats are available to those who sign up for a ‘Trinity Treat’ card – you’ll have to be quick though, as we only have a limited amount.”
