A woman was allegedly driven off by a man who crashed into her car in Leeds after she got out to swap insurance details.

The 21-year-old was in a white Suzuki Swift that was involved in a collision with a silver Citroen Xsara on Elland Road at the M621 roundabout in Beeston at about 7.15pm on Wednesday.

It was reported that she got out to discuss the matter but was then driven off by the man after getting into his car.

She was dropped off a short time later in Wellington Bridge Street.

A 63-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, drink driving and abduction. He was subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

People living along Stainbeck Lane in Chapel Allerton say they endured crumbling tarmac and wonky paving stones.
