Vehicle overturned in Leeds near junction 43 on the M1 northbound

Police and ambulance teams were called to the motorway near Junction 43, Hook Moor, Leeds, at 3pm today (Sunday).

Two vehicles had been involved in a crash and one was left upside down on the grass verge.

Minor injuries occurred and those injured were checked over by ambulance teams.

The road is now clear.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 3pm today to near Junction 43 of the M1 northbound.

"Two vehicles were involved in an incident and one was upside down on the grass verge.

"There were only minor injuries which were checked over by ambulance teams.

"One of the vehicles involved was a BMW."
