Commuters face lengthy delays as they head home today while a major route in Leeds is kept closed by police.
An alert was triggered at Weetwood Police Station earlier this afternoon when a man turned up with a suspected hand grenade.
It means the A660 Otley Road is closed in both directions between the Ring Road and Old Otley Road.
West Yorkshire Metro is currently warning of "severe delays" of up to an hour.
It said the 1, 6, 28, 97 and X84 services are all affected.
