Toddler suffers "life-changing injuries" after being thrown from quad bike


A toddler has suffered “life-changing injuries” after being thrown from a quad bike being ridden by a 23-year-old man.

The two-year-old boy was being carried on the vehicle on wasteland near Silcotes Street on Tuesday afternoon when it hit a divot, causing him to fall the ground.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious, life-changing injuries.”

The man has not been arrested. Police want to speak to witnesses.
